This event is a two-day meeting that will include several I2 transmissions that introduce examples of how it can be used for music performance, research, and teaching. Meeting days are March 3-4, 2006.
The Symposium convenes on the Indiana University-Purdue University campus ( Instructional Technology Building – Room 152).
There are four groups of colleagues who will participate.
1) invited administrators and faculty members from collegiate music programs from around Indiana, and ;
2 presenters who will illustrate different types of music performance, research, and teaching activities over I2, and;
3) experienced commentators from outside the state and country who will be contributing their expertise in these areas during the proceedings, and;
4) presenters from lndianapolis-based educational organizations with I2 experience.
Day I comprises several I2 demonstrations, with audience and commentator responses and questions. It concludes with symposium participants setting out an agenda of issues and tasks to address the next day.
Day II will be a working session for symposium participants to identify priorities and establish collaborative activities in music performance, research, and teaching within and beyond individual school boundaries. |
